Most of the building managers these days know that they need to provide anchor points on their buildings. They need to provide a safe working environment for all contractors working at heights over 2 metres as a part of OHS requirements set out in OHS Act 2000.
It needs to be said that not all systems on Sydney’s roofs comply with the Standards. Our experience shows that approximately 50% of all anchor points installed on Sydney roofs are either inadequate or installed in a wrong way.
At Safetek we are proud of our knowledge of the industry! We are here to help our clients understand their choices before they spend thousands of dollars on a system that might be incorrect for their building.
We offer installation, certification and testing of:
- rope access anchor points
- fall arrest anchor points
- static lines and rail systems
All of the above can be installed into various adequate structures including:
- concrete
- steel beams
- metal roofs
- tiled roofs
- multiple brick walls
Anchor points and static lines play a vital role in fall protection on most of the buildings today. They are not a luxury but a necessity! A good quality anchor point system is an investment, not an expense!
It is:
- Permanent. It’s there for the life of the building!
- Versatile. It can be used for all building maintenance, not just window cleaning!
- Money Saving. It can save the owners millions on workers compensation claims!
- a way of reducing manager’s liability for accidents incurred during works at height!
